Designed as a Journey
Set within the South Wing at Glendalough House, a 19th-century medieval Gothic Revival building, the space features beautiful high-vaulted ceilings and is flooded with natural light, offering a serene, nurturing environment with expansive views across woodland, gardens, fields and lake. This newly renovated 6,400 ftsq space provides full wheelchair access and facilities, creating an environment where guests can feel safe, supported, and deeply connected to themselves and the Anam Kara Wellness experience - a fully immersive escape from the pace of modern life.
Anam Kara Wellness is not defined by a single room or timetable, but by a sanctuary conceived as a journey - a series of dedicated and interconnected spaces that flow cohesively, ensuring that the experience remains grounded, coherent and held throughout. Whether attending an AKW-hosted retreat, booking a treatment or hosting a corporate day, each environment is intentionally curated to preserve a consistent tone of calm, discretion and elevated simplicity.
Some spaces are designed for grounded practice and restoration, others for energy and movement, yet all exist with one purpose: to help individuals settle; quietly, socially and without pressure. This is the Anam Kara Wellness standard: warm, attentive hosting, clear guidance and an absence of noise or excess. The intention is not to impress, but to create an environment in which people can genuinely explore their wellness journey.
