These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Anam Kara Wellness website and, where applicable, your purchase or booking of services, events, retreats, workshops, treatments, products, memberships, gift cards or offerings from Anam Kara Wellness.
Please read them carefully before using the website or placing a booking.

2. Scope of These Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to:
- your use of this website;
- any enquiry or request you submit through it;
- any online, email, phone or in-person booking or purchase made with Anam Kara Wellness, unless separate written terms apply.
If a separate signed agreement applies to a corporate booking, private hire, retreat, practitioner arrangement or venue hire, that agreement will take priority where it conflicts with these Terms and Conditions.
3. Website Use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not:
- infringe the rights of any other person;
- restrict or interfere with another user’s use of the website;
- introduce malicious code, viruses, bots or harmful material;
- attempt unauthorised access to the website, hosting environment or connected systems.
Anam Kara Wellness may suspend, restrict or withdraw website access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, operational or legal reasons.
4. Your Bookings & Purchases
A booking or purchase is not confirmed until Anam Kara Wellness accepts it and, where applicable, payment or deposit has been received.
Anam Kara Wellness reserves the right to decline a booking or order where:
- availability has changed;
- information provided is incomplete or inaccurate;
- payment cannot be authorised or has not been received;
- the booking is unsuitable, unsafe or impractical to fulfil;
- Anam Kara Wellness reasonably believes that a participant cannot safely take part.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices shown are in euro, EUR and/or € unless stated otherwise.
Prices should state clearly whether VAT is included or excluded. Where VAT applies, it will be charged at the applicable rate.
You agree to pay the full price, together with any clearly disclosed charges, fees, taxes, booking charges, shipping charges or cancellation charges that apply to your purchase.
Where a deposit is taken, the balance must be paid by the deadline stated at the time of booking. Anam Kara Wellness may cancel a booking if payment is not received on time.
6. Service Descriptions
Anam Kara Wellness takes reasonable care to describe its services accurately. However, programmes, facilitators, teachers, treatments, schedules, amenities, venues, timings and formats may change where reasonably necessary.
Anam Kara Wellness may make minor changes to a service where needed to reflect operational realities, safety, legal requirements, staffing changes, weather, supplier availability or reasonable service improvements.
7. Health, Suitability & Safe Participation
Some services may involve movement, heat, cold exposure, breathwork, relaxation practices or other physically or mentally demanding elements.
By booking or attending, you undertake to confirm that:
- the information that you provide to us is complete and accurate;
- you will disclose unto Anam Kara Wellness the details of any condition, injury, limitation or concern relevant to safe participation;
- you will follow reasonable safety instructions given by Anam Kara Wellness or its practitioners;
- you will stop immediately and notify Anam Kara Wellness if you feel unwell, unsafe or unable to continue.
Anam Kara Wellness may refuse, suspend or modify participation where reasonably necessary for your safety, the safety of others or the safe operation of the service.
8. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your mandatory legal rights under applicable consumer law.
Where you are a consumer and book remotely or at a distance (for example online, by email or by phone), you may, in some cases, have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days.
However, that statutory cancellation right does not generally apply to contracts for:
- accommodation;
- catering;
- transport of goods;
- car rental;
- leisure activities;
where the contract provides for performance on a specific date or during a specific period.
It may also not apply to goods made to your specifications, personalised goods or sealed goods not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
9. Cancellation Policy for Date-Specific Bookings
Because many Anam Kara Wellness services are provided on specific dates or within specific time slots, bookings for classes, private sessions, retreats, events, workshops, corporate bookings or other date-specific experiences are, unless Anam Kara Wellness states otherwise in writing, treated as date-specific bookings.
For those bookings:
- the statutory 14-day cooling-off period may not apply;
- cancellation and refund rights are governed by the booking terms Anam Kara Wellness provides at the point of sale and by any specific cancellation policy published for that service.
10. Non-Date-Specific Services
Where a consumer has a legal right to cancel a non-date-specific service bought at a distance:
- you may cancel within 14 days of the contract being formed;
- if you ask Anam Kara Wellness to begin providing the service during that period, you expressly request early performance;
- if the service is fully performed during that period after your express request, you may lose the right to cancel;
- if you cancel after performance has started, Anam Kara Wellness may charge for the proportion already supplied, where lawful.
11. If Anam Kara Wellness Cancels or Changes a Booking
Anam Kara Wellness may cancel, reschedule, suspend or materially change a service where reasonably necessary because of:
- illness or unavailability of a practitioner or facilitator;
- weather or force majeure;
- safety concerns;
- minimum attendance thresholds;
- venue or operational issues;
- legal or regulatory requirements.
Where this happens, Anam Kara Wellness will aim to offer an appropriate alternative, credit, transfer or refund, depending on the circumstances and the nature of the booking.
12. Late Arrival & Missed Attendance
If you arrive late, Anam Kara Wellness may refuse entry or shorten your session where this is necessary for safety, fairness, privacy, operational flow or service quality.
No refund is guaranteed for missed sessions, no-shows or attendance cut short due to late arrival, intoxication, non-compliance with safety instructions or inappropriate behaviour.
13. Products & Gift Cards
Where physical goods are sold:
- risk passes on delivery unless otherwise required by law;
- title passes only when payment has been received in full;
- delivery dates are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise;
- consumer rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming goods are not affected.
Gift cards or Credits:
- are valid for [12] months unless otherwise stated;
- are non-refundable except where required by law;
- are not redeemable for cash;
- may be subject to booking availability.
14. Service Quality & Complaints
As a consumer, when you buy a service from Anam Kara Wellness, that service will be provided in conformity with the contract and with reasonable care and skill.
If something goes wrong, please contact us promptly at terms@anamkarawellness.ie. Anam Kara Wellness shall endeavour to resolve issues fairly, within a reasonable timeframe and without unnecessary inconvenience.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website - including text, logos, branding, images, layout, graphics, audio, video and original written material - is owned by or licensed to Anam Kara Wellness and Sophie Anderton Limited and is protected by intellectual property law.
You may view, download or print material from the website for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute, exploit or use any content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
16. External Links & Third-Party Platforms
The Anam Kara Wellness website may contain links to third-party websites, booking tools, payment providers or embedded services. Anam Kara Wellness is not responsible for the content, functionality, availability, privacy practices or terms of third-party platforms.
Where you book or pay through a third-party platform, that platform’s terms may also apply.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any matter that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Anam Kara Wellness is not liable for indirect, consequential or purely economic loss arising from your use of this website or from any booking or purchase, unless such limitation is prohibited by law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude liability for failing to provide a consumer service in conformity with the contract, nor to restrict any mandatory remedy to which a consumer is entitled by law.
18. Privacy & Data Protection
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with Anam Kara Wellness’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Anam Kara Wellness’s Cookie Policy.
19. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Ireland.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also benefit from any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence where applicable.
