Trail running at Anam Kara Wellness is not about performance or proving capability, it is a refined return to presence through movement in landscape.

Set within the private expanse of the Glendalough House estate, the experience unfolds across approximately 20km of carefully woven tracks and trails. These routes move with quiet intention through landscaped parklands, mature deciduous woodlands, along the gentle course of the Avonmore River and extend into the more elevated contours of Scarr Mountain. Across the terrain, the total elevation variance of roughly 1,540 feet offers a natural rhythm of ascent and release rather than exertion for its own sake.

Here, trail running becomes less an athletic pursuit and more a considered practice of recalibration; where pace, breath and environment are aligned. Each route is thoughtfully guided and adapted according to experience level, seasonal conditions and safety, ensuring that the focus remains on immersion rather than intensity and on the landscape’s quiet capacity to restore equilibrium.

We have partnered with Alive Outside and No.17 Personal Training to tailor make experiences for private groups and on-site events, such as Hell & Back Dawn Run and AKW Power Up weekends.
